Comments: | Lovely little fitting this! Has to be another favourite batten of mine. In fact it was a Crompack 2 which was the first fluorescent fitting I ever touched! |

Isn't she a beauty? One of the best 2ft fittings ever.

One of the best, but not quite a PP! Just my preference

Paul, your comment about the first fluorescent fitting you touched reminded me of when my dad lifted me up and let me touch the tube in the newly fitted pop pack in our kitchen when I was only 4! I remember him saying that it's not hot, just warm That would have been 1978.

Well, in the bank my parents used to go to, they had 5 or 6 ft Crompacks concealed along the counter. I remember sitting on the floor at the front of the counter and touching one of the fittings while my Mum spoke to the teller.

Wow the old crompacks do age well... My 6ft QS (minus the end caps) was that ebay pickup litrally just needs a wipe down - Its either been very well looked after or very well built as there is not even a spot of rust inside or out

This is very nice good to have the box as well, but I wonder if this is a Crompack 2. I have a single Crompack 2 with differant lamp holders and end plates
