Was there ever a twin version of one of these?

I think there just may have been. The lights used in the TV series Life On Mars look like modified Fluroliers. The trough reflectors look wide enough for a twin layout too. BIG assumption I know but maybe... just maybe!

Those reflector lights fascinated me on Life On Mars, was often pausing it to try and get a better look when the camera angle was right.

LOL Rob... I did too! I reckon they were old fashioned troughs with twin fittings like speedpacks in!

Yes Paul, you could see the modern twin fittings with T8s. There was also an episode where the lights were flickering, looked like they had used twin 2ft series starters to acheive the effect. I loved the way they did it, even though they wouldn't have been using lightpacks with T8s in the 1973.

If you looked carefully at those fittings in 'Life On Mars' you could see the cable ties holding those big Thorlux reflectors onto them modern battens! LOL they should've bought the matching fittings too! Would've looked a LOT better! But you did get the odd period fitting crop up like a twin Atlantic or twin PPs with opal diffusers on! The whole series was awesome tho. Good old' Gene Hunt! LOL
