Use an olympus E500, but I shoot in RAW data mode - this allows for more tweaking in Photoshop!

Cool Lamp, this lamp was made in Preston Lancashire, in the 1940's, it was Common during World War II to make MB/V lamps with Clear Bulbs, as it saved acid etching the Bulbs, also to eliminate the hazards if the Factory got Bombed by the Luftwaffle, as you wouldn't want to have to contend with acid in a bomb damaged factory.

Thanks for the info - really interesting and gives so much more life to the lamp. I found 42 marked on it, so its likely 1942. I'll try tomorrow and get a close up of the naval crest. Thanks Jonny-m for leaving one. Have you fired yours up yet?

@frutas I haven't had chance to have a play with mine yet. If I get chance tomorrow I'll get the gamma 6 out of the cupboard and test them all in that.

I love the arctubes in these early MB lamps, a true handmade work of art! Finding one of these in pearl is a bloody good find as it is! It's great to see this in clear in all it's glory!
