Cool, these must be the ones James said to "wait another month" for, where do we buy these from then?
Tom   [Jan 23, 2015 at 02:14 PM]
£7.99 from your local Screwfix! Just had to get them!

They've got some very similar lamps in B&Q now, similar ratings for £8. Grabbed one a few days ago out of curiousity. Actually works nicely, wonder who's making them for them.

Fantastic! I think I'll be going to my local screwfix tomorrow!

I got a pair of those ones from B&Q, they are amazingly bright for what they are. I certainly hope these become standard domestic LED retorofits tbh, these are probably the best looking out there.

They should last pretty well in theory as well given that they seem to run near enough stone cold, even after being on all evening. Colour looks pretty good as well, if I had somewhere to do it, would grab some photos!

Screwfix and B&Q are the same company, so you can guess where they are being made. An even better version will be available shortly Smile

These are worth a try. Oddly enough the only ones out of the GE, Tesco, DIAL, IKEA, ALDI and Philips that have failed, has been the Philips ones - and Philips are meant to be top quality lamps?
Linear_SLI   [Jan 23, 2015 at 11:50 PM]
I`m guessing they have come from the Yankon plant?, and at a cool 117 lm/W, their a must buy. Cool
Will this be a proper gas filled version?

Screwfix sell the candles too Danny! Wink

Around the £6 mark I think

Just been out and bought a pair of these. They're fantastic! I think I'll be going back for more!

Had a demonstration of the full range of these today, including the gold straight tubular versions! Very impressed!

have the ToLEDo ball version of this, made a bit of an odd sound at first but that appears to have gone away, looks and works just like a GLS lamp.

Is that the dash of your sprinter Tom or is it a lorry? I'm guessing latter as the tachometer numbers suggest big engine.

Strange that such a lamp made a noise? This was a Mercedes Atego 815 7.5 ton lorry, was a good old workhorse that wagon! LED filament GLS lamps have to be the best of the bunch IIRC. Just a shame, dare I say it, we haven't had any half decent MBF/SON/SOX retrofits!

Whatever happened to the Sylvania relumina?
