Interesting find Cool , is this ex-ambulance?

This was brand new, sold for use with solar panel low voltage systems. There was also a 4ft model available.

And does it actually run the lamps at full power, I'm often disappointed with these.

I haven't tested the output but I'd say its pretty close. Razz

I might have to treat myself!

Very sad indeed and we all know why Mad

Looks like a decent product. What's the reason for them all being sold out?
Jonny-m   [Jan 30, 2015 at 11:14 AM]
Here's a email i got from them last year.

Hello Jonathan,
Thank you for your email. At present we are just selling stock until it is cleared since it is no longer viable to continue having these units made in such small quantities. Vastly rising costs would mean at least a doubling of price so we have now decided to phase them out – when they are gone, they are gone I’m afraid.
Regards,

Sarah

Oh I see! Perhaps like everywhere else the trend is for LED products instead. Sad
Jonny-m   [Jan 30, 2015 at 11:28 AM]
Unfortunately yes. Shame really as these seem really good ballasts. I have one myself and it does a great job of running the tube.

To be honest, they'd still not be bad value even if they did double the price......
